Makalu Expedition
40 DaysMt. Makalu ( 8,463 meters,27,766 ft) is the fifth highest that lies between Everest and Kanchanjunga. It is the most difficult mountains in the world. It has knife –edged ridges that open to the elements. The final ascent of the pyramid involves technical rock climbing. Altogether there are five route to summit the Makalu and four variation with interesting opportunities like west face, the Northeast face from Nepal and North flanks from Tibet
Trip Details
Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu airport, meet our staff then transfer to Hotel Manang.
Day 02 Preparation for Expedition.
Day 03 Official works for expedition and briefing by officer of Ministry of Tourism.
Day 04 Kathmandu –Biratnagar by flight then drive to Hile. Tented Camp.
Day 05 Hile – Mangmaya. Tented Camp
Day 06 Mangmaya – Sutibari. Tented Camp
Day 07 Sutibari – Tumlingtar. Tented Camp
Day 08 Tumlingtar – Khandbari. Tented Camp
Day 09 Khandbari – Bhotebas. Tented Camp
Day 10 Bhotebas – Gogone. Tented Camp
Day 11 Gogone – Num. Tented Camp
Day 12 Num – Tashi Gaon. Tented Camp
Day 13 Tashigaon – Khongma – La. Tented Camp
Day 14 Khongma-La – Makalu Base Camp. Tented Camp
Day 15 – 32 Climbing period of Mt. Makalu 8,463 m. Tented Camp
Day 33 Makalu Base Camp – Numbuck. Tented Camp
Day 34 Numbuk – Khongma-La. Tented Camp
Day 35 Khongma-La – Seduwa. Tented Camp
Day 36 Seduwa – Chichira. Tented Camp
Day 37 Chichira – Tumlingtar and transfer to Tented Camp.
Day 38 Tumlingtar – Kathmandu by flight then transfer to Hotel Manang.
Day 39 Kathmandu Free.
Day 40 Departure from Kathmandu
